Questions to Ask Your Turtle Camper – Tuesday

If you’re wondering what your camper has been up to this week, here are some questions to get the conversation started…

  • We played a game early on this week where a camper tries to protect their turtle eggs (a bandana) from others trying to steal them. How can you win this game? Was your group able to steal the turtle egg? How can you play with honor at camp?
  • We offer some unique activities at Schoolhouse of Wonder that allow campers to work/play more physically. One of those activities is whittling. What do you use to whittle sticks at camp? (Hint: a vegetable peeler.) How do you know if it okay to whittle? (Hint: “AH-COW” or Ask a counselor, Have a seat, Check your blood bubble, Open your knife carefully, and Whittle away from yourself.) Are you working on any whittling projects?
  • With the rain on Monday, we explored a smaller creek which we call a tributary. What were some similarities between the small creek and the big creek you went to on Tuesday? Which creek location is your favorite so far? What makes that spot special?
