Our Whittling and Woodcraft week started with a bang – of hammers! Our campers practiced safe tool usage as they built their very own bat boxes. We didn’t stop there! We practiced our whittling skills and many campers left with growth rings showing their knowledge of the whittling rules, ability to make a flat-sided object, or butter knife making abilities. When we weren’t building we ran through the forest as werewolves, built some awesome forts, saw and caught some snakes, and cooled off splashing in the creek. We had a lot of fun in two short days!
