During our Keeper of the Forest week, campers have learned about, and explored what it means to be a conservationist for our forests! We talked about the role that trees and our forests play in our lives and the effect that humans have on the environment. Campers were able to be stewards of the forests and participate in forest cleanup hikes, invasive species clearing, tending the organic garden, and installing water bars to maintain a trail. We played many traditional Schoolhouse games throughout the week, some with a conservation twist! The heat couldn’t keep us down with extra water time throughout the week too! Take a look at everything we learned and discovered during this camp week.
