The art of fire-making is a great way to build skills, confidence, and a sense of responsibility. In this short but exciting camp, we spent a couple of wintry days together practicing our fire techniques, playing games, and exploring the frozen Eno River. We worked with primitive and friction fire methods like flint and steel and bow-drill, in addition to covering campfire safety and materials. And, of course, we made time to roast up some tasty s’mores! We hope you enjoy these fun pictures from Keeper of the Fire.
